Madison police say around 400 people were arrested at the Mifflin Street block party, but there were no major problems with the annual event.
Police spokesman Joel DeSpain says that yesterday's party has brought less than 10,000 people to the street.
The majority of the arrests were for alcohol-related issues, including open intoxicants, underage drinking and glass containers on the street.
DeSpain says the party that includes mostly college students was free from major issues.
Officers did have to clear a few porches that were overloaded and posed a safety threat and stop one party after repeated warnings about noise.
Authorities say final arrest numbers won't be available for several weeks.
