Court records show that a woman accused of suffocating her 2-year-old son told police she heard voices telling her to sacrifice him while she was reading the Bible.

The Winnebago County employee is in custody but not formally charged.

The Winnebago County coroner concluded yesterday the boy was murdered, but did not release a cause.

Neenah police asked the Milwaukee County district attorney's office to file homicide charges against the boy's mother.

Officials declined to give specifics, but named the Milwaukee County DA as special prosecutor because her employment would cause a conflict for Winnebago prosecutors.

Why is it these people never hear "voices" telling them to "kill themselves."
