Trial for the driver of a semi-truck that struck a school bus and killed one student is delayed.

The three-day trial was supposed to have started in less than two weeks for 46-year-old Barry Jacobson.

But that's now pushed back until Nov. 19.

Jacobson is charged with homicide by negligent operation of a motor vehicle, three counts of causing great bodily harm by reckless driving and two counts of causing bodily harm by reckless driving.

Authorities say the Mineral Point man's semitrailer truck smashed into the parked bus from the Tri-County school district near Plainfield in 2006. The crash killed 14-year-old David Senft Jr. of Bancroft. Six other students were severely injured.

He faces up to 26 years in prison if convicted on all counts.
