With gas prices sitting at almost $4 a gallon, AAA predicts fewer Americans will travel this Memorial Day.

AAA says it's the first time this decade that the estimated number of travelers is expected to drop. The organization estimates 37.9 million americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this holiday, a decrease of nearly 360,000 travelers from last year.

The organization says many families are feeling the financial stress of record high gas prices and are adjusting their summer travel plans because of it.

Air fares over the holiday weekend are expected to rise about 8%.

$4.00 a gallon gasoline would be a bargain in many countries, welcome to the real world. Who is the biggest supplier of oil to the USA? It is not Saudi Arabia, the biggest supplier of oil to the USA is Canada, with Saudi Arabia being second, and Mexico third. So why did the president go to Saudi Arabia to beg for more oil when two of the top three major suppliers are right on the US border? Besides, more oil will not reduce the price of gas since production of gasoline at US refinaries is already maxed out. Eight years in office and a life time being associated with the oil industry and the man still does not have a clue.
