According to the Coulee Region Humane Society, someone called animal control when they saw a raccoon with the peanut butter jar stuck on her head.
The animal control officer had to catch the raccoon and take it in, where they had to sedate it to get the jar off.
They released her, but say had the caller ignored it, the animal would have likely died. They say remember to keep your garbage secure and call if you see a wild animal in trouble.
