More than 7000 delinquent taxpayers in Wisconsin are about to receive an unwelcome surprise in the mail.
On Monday, the Department of Revenue began sending out letters telling people to settle their delinquent accounts within 30 days or their names will be posted on an internet site called the Web site of Shame.
If you owe more than $25,000 your name will be on the list. If you're one of the top 100 biggest delinquent taxpayers, you'll have your own special internet page.
Supporters say the program has worked in other states.
Wisconsin has a backlog of over $750 million in unpaid taxes.
