Once a month a group of ladies gather at The Healing Place in Eau Claire to crochet shawls for people that have lost a person close to them.
So far the group's efforts have produced more than 200 donated shawls, and those involved with the program say they can see the comfort each person feels the moment they give them a shawl.
Donated yarn has allowed to group to give the shawls away for free, something they hope continues to happen with the support of the community.
Donations can be dropped off at The Healing Place, on 1010 Oakridge Dr., Eau Claire.
