Wisconsin's unemployment rate has reached a four year low.
A workforce development official says the rate shows Wisconsin's economy continues to rebound.
The rate fell to 4.5 percent in October. That's down 0.2 percentage points from September and the lowest since September, 2001. It's also lower than the national 5 percent rate.
Wisconsin's workforce has grown by almost 19,000 jobs over the last year to nearly 3 million. That includes strong gains in construction, business, education, health care and tourism.
However, the state has lost jobs in manufacturing and retail.
