Moua Reaches Plea Deal

A plea deal has been reached for a La Crosse County woman charged with two counts of homicide in a 2004 fire that killed two of her grandchildren.
45-year old Ter Moua plead guilty this week in La Crosse County court to two counts of homicide by negligent handling of a fire.
District Attorney Scott Horne agreed to the reduced charges because he wanted to protect Moua from deportation.
On April 21st, 2004, three year old Donavan Xiong and his two year old cousin Kylie Xiong were left alone at the Moua's home on French Island.
Authorities believe the fire started from the children playing with the furnace pilot light.
Moua is scheduled to be sentenced December 19th.
