The case against a former Luther Hospital employee accused of stealing computers was dismissed today in Eau Claire county court.
36-year-old Stuart Kurschner was charged with theft for allegedly taking computers from Luther Hospital and selling them from his home using the internet auction site e-bay.
Officials had the case dismissed because federal charges are expected.
District Attorney Rich White says the stolen computers were sold all over the country making it a multi-jurisdictional case, which would be easier for the federal government to handle.
The computers taken were worth nearly $200,000.
