Doyle Experiences Danger of Serving Overseas Firsthand

Governor Jim Doyle says while he was in Afghanistan last week, the plane he was on was feared to be under missile attack.
Doyle says the plane was coming out of Kabul when the big C130 suddenly took a hard turn and flares went off.
He says sensors showed something was wrong.
Later, they figured out that a heat sensor picked up some kind of heat from the ground, not a missile.
Doyle says it gave him some idea of the uncertainty for those serving over there, with the possibility of danger at any time.
The governor made a weeklong trip to the Middle East where he visited Wisconsin troops and aid workers in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait and Pakistan.
