A new Veterans Memorial unveiled today in Chippewa County honors soldiers that served our country.
Hundreds of people gathered together to celebrate by the Bloomer Veterans Memorial.
The $250-thousand project started more than four years ago.
Now, people can visit the grounds that include several flagpoles and benches.
A bell tower is in place for people to ring in memory of their vets.
And you can read the names of soldiers that served-- etched on stone tablets.
Event MC, Dave Olson, says he's not surprised so many people came out for the dedication.
Dave Olson says, "The people of Bloomer are fantastic. They support things like this. It's a very very patriotic community minded."
Olson says the Bloomer Memorial Committee is now trying to raise $25-thousand for upkeep of the site.
