More information is coming out about a woman who disappeared in the St. Croix River along the Minnesota-Wisconsin border.
The 42-year-old woman is from South St. Paul. She was swimming in the river Saturday with her 13-year-old daughter and the daughter's friend.
The daughter says the three were out on a sandbar near Hudson, Wisconsin, when a wave came up and swept them into the river.
An onlooker pulled the girls to safety, but the woman disappeared. Authorities have not released her name.
The river is as much as 53 feet deep in some spots near the area where the woman disappeared.
