With the Fourth of July weekend almost over, what better way to celebrate than the Chippewa Valley Firecracker Bike Race at Lowes Creek Park.

Hundreds gathered in Eau Claire Sunday to take part in the fourth annual Wisconsin Off-Road Series.

Bike riders could take part in one of seven categories and course lengths.

People could also participate in running races.

One rider says she's been competing in the bike race for five years and says she loves the sport.

Moriah Grisvach says, "It's good family connections and it's just a great sport. Really fun, it's exciting and it helps you keep in shape and it's just great all around."

Proceeds from the event will help maintain the bike trails at Lowes Creek County Park.
