A former Pierce County substitute teacher accused of having sex with a 13-year-old student pleaded guilty Wednesday morning.

Anne Knopf, 39, was charged with repeated 2nd degree sexual assault of the same child.

She was sentenced to nine months in jail, with five years probation.

She must also not have any contact with the victim and she must register as a sex offender.

The criminal complaint says the 13-year old boy went to the teachers Ellsworth home, once a week, for more than a month.

Knopf was a substitute teacher at Prescott Middle School for two years.

She was fired last year.

i am a mother of 2 and a resident of Prescott. I agree with John. This is appalling. 9 months is not adequate.
