Five players from the West Allis Central High School baseball team were among a dozen students accused in a vandalism spree that included smashing car windows and scrawling graffiti on vehicles.

The varsity players have been suspended indefinitely from the team that played Tuesday night in regional finals of summer playoffs.

Police in Greenfield said the players were among those involved in the vandalism. They were cited for criminal damage to property, loitering and prowling.

Among the victims were college student Kari Rozwadowski, who had the rear window of her Volkswagen smashed, and James Jankowski, who had an obscenity written on his recreational vehicle and a tire sliced.

Administrators say the athletes will stay suspended until the school completes its investigation.
