Tommy Thompson Could, Maybe, Be Thinking About Running Again
However, Old Friends Say He Doesn't Want To Compete With Fellow Republicans

Wisconsin's longest-serving governor may be mulling another run for office.
Friends of former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson say he's wondered out loud what it would be like to run for the office again.
Thompson himself has been tight-lipped but that hasn't kept rumors from circulating.
Still, some of Thompson's former advisers say if he were to ask their advice, they'd tell him not to run.
James Klauser, a utility executive who helped get Thompson elected in 1986, says the former governor's chances get slimmer as more time passes.
He says U-S Representative Mark Green -- the Republican opposing incumbent Governor Jim Doyle -- continues to entrench himself as the GOP candidate.
Klauser doesn't think Thompson will want to upset that balance.
