What you need to know before heading to Country Fest

Cadott, WI (WEAU) -- In less than two day, Country Fest will kick off with several new attractions. It begins Thursday and runs until Sunday with a full four days filled with music from Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and many others.

Country Fest coordinators say you'll want to come prepared so you don't miss a thing.

Whether you're fairly new to country fest or a seasoned pro, marketing director Jill Brenner says there's a lot to look forward to.

Brenner says, “We've already released the Hippo slide, the world's largest water slide, that will be up on top of the hill this year. It’s 175 feet long and three stories high. We have new misting stations to keep people cool. We have a sports bar, the world cup soccer game is Thursday and a lot of people have the fever. They won't have to miss it.”

Brenner says after a year of planning, just the final details are left before the concerts begin on Thursday.

Brenner says, "Last minute is just some of the little fine details that you'll never really see because it's behind the scene. But, everything is set, everything is ready and now we just need all of the people."

Brenner says when people do begin to arrive, to make sure they have everything they need to get in.

“One thing that we always try to tell people, is just have everything prepared in advance when you get here, that will make it much more smooth at the gates. We've added two lanes this year so it will be even faster than it has been in the past but have all of your tickets printed, have everything that you need ready for the people at the gates and then they can get you everything that you need so that you can get in really quickly" says Brenner

And, once you're on the grounds, Brenner says there are some things to keep in mind. She says, “Definitely bring some boots and rain gear so you don't miss a show, if it's raining. Stay hydrated that's one thing we really stress, it's four days of fun but people need to stay hydrated and stay safe."

But in the end Noah Kolovos says all about one thing. Kolovos says, "Having a great time!"
