Sadly people seem to learn things the hard way! yes why was this accesible to a five year old and why wasn't the keys out of his reach. Maybe we need to make laws where you have to lock up keys to vehicles so minors don't have access to them? I see my neighbor kids all under 12 years old driving these vehicles on the road every day and just shudder as to what can happen to them, though it don't seem to bother the parents?

Sadly, it is things like this that will get ATV's banned. Outrageous that a 5 year old child was permitted to operate an ATV. Or that it was left accessable to the child. What are people thinking. Who was supposed to be supervising this child? Horrible. ATV's are recreation vehicles to be operated by resposible trained individuals and can be deadly weapon in the wrong hands and should be treated as such. Would you let a 5 year old run around the yard with a loaded gun? Bout the same thing when not dealt with responsibly. My condolences to the family in this unfortunate and sad situation.
