A young woman is proving she can do anything she wants by playing football.

Hannah Reiland is a senior at La Crosse Logan High School and one of the football team’s kickers. She says she has always loved kicking and has played soccer since she was young.

Last year her math teacher and head coach of the football team asked her to try out for the varsity football team and she made it. She says it’s been a smooth transition.

"I was welcomed on the team. They were all pretty surprised I could kick and happy I could take over. I've been kicking in soccer since I was 11. I really love kicking and I really love all the team spirit."

Reiland’s team kicks off the season on Friday, August 28 against Eau Claire North.
