State Receives Money to Restore Fish Habitats Save Email Print

The state of Wisconsin has received nearly $1 million to restore fish habitats.

More than $200,000comes from US Fish and Wildlife and more than $600,000 will come from the Driftless Area Restoration Effort.

The money will go towards restoring upland habitat and streams and improving recreational fishing in the heart of the upper Mississippi Basin.

Some of the local waterways include Pine Creek in Pierce County, Elk Creek in Chippewa County and the Sparta Area Little La Crosse River in Monroe County
