A reward is being offered in the case of a murdered college student
Brittany Zimmermann, 21, was found dead in her off-campus apartment five blocks from the state capitol in Madison on April 2. Investigators say the door had been forced open and it appeared to be a random crime.
Police said Thursday that a $5,000 reward from the Carole Sund/Carrington Memorial Foundation is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Zimmermann's relatives say they hope the reward will grow with additional donations.
