The Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eau Claire County has a limited supply of vouchers available for the 2008 Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program.
The program gives low-income senior citizens $25 in vouchers to purchase locally grown, fresh produce from state-certified farmers' markets and roadside stands June through October 2008.
Applications for the program are taken Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, at the Aging & Disability Resource Center, Eau Claire County Courthouse, 721 Oxford Ave, Room 1550, Eau Claire.
In order to qualify for the program, applicants must be 60 years of age (55 for Native Americans), residents of Eau Claire County, and income below $1,604 gross monthly for a household of one; $2,159 gross monthly for a household of two. Individuals/households are only eligible for the program one time per year. Vouchers must be used by October 31, 2008.
