Sheriff's Deputies say Canoeist Drowned
A forensic autopsy confirms a Black River Falls canoeist found floating in the river last week drowned.

A foresnic autopsy confirms a Black River Falls canoeist found floating in the river last week drowned.

The Jackson County Dive Team found the body of 52 year old Mario Genna last Friday in the Black River after nearly a week of searching.
>
According to sheriff's deputies, Genna's body was found about a half mile north of where his empty canoe was first spotted. Genna was dropped off May 19 at a boat landing. He had intended to spend the weekend canoeing and camping.
