The Northwest Counseling and Guidance Clinic released the following statement on Tuesday:
>
"We have learned a child we served has passed away. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the caregivers and their loved ones. Northwest Counseling & Guidance Clinic continues to fully cooperate with regional and state agencies in assisting their efforts in reviewing this matter.
>
"Although we cannot comment on this individual, we would like to speak in generalities about the rehabilitation of young people experiencing mental health disorders. Mental health disorders are difficult to diagnose and treat for adults, furthermore, work with children tends to increase the complex nature of the mental health issues. The complexities of the children increase both the risk level of intervention as well as the intensity of the overall rehabilitation process.

"Our Day Treatment staff of licensed and trained professionals remain as committed as ever to working with children and adolescents and towards the rehabilitation of children experiencing mental health disorders."
