Three UW-Eau Claire students have been arrested after police say they tried to set a house on fire.
Joshua Lueth, 20, Kyle Kipka, 19, and Colin Smith, 19, were in Eau Claire County Court Monday morning.
Police say they poured motor oil on the front of a house on Farwell Street and the mailbox.
Officers say the container used to pour the oil was left on the front porch and was set on fire. The fire eventually put itself out.
Police say the men may have started the fire in retaliation for a disorderly and loud party complaint they received on Saturday.
