Water Street Bar to Face its Fate
City Council will hear recommendations Monday about Nasty Habit
|
|
Last month, Eau Claire city officials made public formal complaints about the Nasty Habit saloon on Water Street.
>
The next phase in the tavern's future could come Monday. The city's administrative review board will make their recommendations Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock to the Eau Claire city Council.
>
Eau Claire police and a city attorney are on record calling the Nasty Habit "a disorderly house" and are pushing for the revocation of the bar's license to sell liquor. Allegations against the bar include alleged assaults by workers against customers and hiding underage patrons when police were present.
>
Owner Scott Hegwood said earlier that city personnel are discriminating against the bar.
