The annual event draws thousands of people. Fat-Far is an acronym standing for French Town Annual Tubing and Regatta.
>
People came with tubes and coolers in hand. Many get creative and built their own rafts and others keep it simple by tying tubes together. They float down stretch of the river and end up at Loopy's for food and entertainment.
>
"I'm expecting to have a good time, enjoy myself, probably not remember much of it,” said Luke Kelsey of Whitehall.
>
Chippewa Falls Police say there's a concern for safety for the event because of the large amounts of people and alcohol.
