The State of Wisconsin is asking you to be careful if you have a visit from a door-to-door sales crew.
The Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection says people have filed several complaints to police. It says the crew may claim to be UW-Madison students or that they live down the street.
A woman in Madison says crew members used her name as they went door-to-door, claiming she bought a book. She says she never did.
Other reports say the crew tried to get into people's homes, and that at least one member smelled like he had been drinking.
If a questionable door-to-door crew comes to your home, call police.
