Firefighters are once again reminding you to help prevent fires this holiday season.
The Eau Claire Fire Department is putting 5 foot wreaths in front of its stations and City Hall. It’s called the "Keep the Wreath Green" initiative.
The campaign runs through New Year’s Day. Each one has green lights to represent a fire-safe community. Firefighters replace a green light with a red light whenever there is a fire in Eau Claire.
There is also a white bulb on each wreath. It represents men and women in the armed services throughout the world.
