At the next meeting, the Eau Claire City Council will address a proposal that would require property owners to clean up graffiti if their home or business is tagged by vandals.

Property owners would have to notify police of the damage within seventy-two hours. Then they'd have to remove or cover the graffiti right away or they could get a ticket.

If the graffiti ordinance is passed, it would go into effect on the first of November.
