Police use GPS to find a man who was lost and drunk
La Crosse Police say Saturday morning, just before 6 a.m., a 21-year-old man called from his cell phone saying he was lost and intoxicated.
Dispatchers called the cell provider who activated the phone's GPS feature. The signal led them to the man on Marco Drive on the south side of La Crosse.
When they found the man, his shoes were muddy and his ankles were wet, showing he had been in the water
The man said he was trying to go home on his bicycle after a party and got lost, and eventually fell asleep.
He blew a 0.15 and was given a warning. He was then taken to his home.
