A Ladysmith police officer faces discipline after Chief Dean Meyer says he sent inappropriate text messages to a high school student.
Meyer says 10-year veteran officer Troy Guthman sent at least two text messages to a 16-year old girl.
The student showed a guidance counselor the messages who then called Chief Meyer.
Meyer says Guthman has until four thirty tomorrow afternoon to submit his resignation, or the disciplinary process will continue.
On Wednesday night the Police Commission in Ladysmith upheld Guthman's suspension.
Meyer won't say what the text messages said.
