Our hearts ache for the whole Hakes family. I wish there was something we could do to ease the pain. Its so awful when bad things happen to such good people.

I am EJ's Aunt (His Mother's Sister) I am just so saddened by this incident. EJ was always such a funny, loving guy to be around. He would always make you laugh. I cried so hard, when I found out. I just seen him about 3 weeks before that and we were joking aroung and his loving little children, I just feel so bad for the whole family I LOVE YOU EJ & you will always be in my heart and remembered forever.

I am so sorry for your loss. My brother was killed almost 2 1/2 years ago in the exact same manner while working in Dickeyville, WI. My prayers are with this family.

EJ was such a good man and had a great family. Why such good people are taken is beyond me. All we know is that we have a great new angel looking out for all of us. We will miss you EJ and your gorgeous smile:) We will all see you again!! My thoughts are with his family and God give them strength to get through this horrible time.
