Several area sheriffs’ departments are trying to locate a wanted man, and they need your help. Deputies say he’s considered armed and dangerous.
>
The Dunn County Sheriff says 43-year-old Wade Charles Deveney is wanted in connection with several burglaries and motor vehicle thefts around western Wisconsin and Minnesota.
>
Deveney is described as a white male, 6’2” tall, weighing 225 pounds with blue eyes.
>
Sheriff Smith says Deveney is believed to be driving a stolen truck, Wisconsin license plate BK70057. The truck is described as a black, 2003 Ford F-150 4-door, with decals on the rear window of hound dogs and “Troy’s Taxidermy.” The truck also has a bug shield with a bear decal on the hood.
>
"We haven't had any violent acts, but with him being armed, it's, you know, it's one of those things where he could act out if cornered or could be dangerous if cornered by somebody,” Sheriff Smith said. “We'd like to get him into custody as soon as possible."
>
Sheriff Smith says Deveney is most likely still in or near western Wisconsin.
>
If you see him, you’re asked to call the Dunn County tipster line at 715-231-2907, or contact police in your area.
>
And again, Sheriff Smith urges you to be careful if you do see Deveney, since he could be armed.
