For a few hours tonight, police in Menomonie were searching for a 6-year-old girl who had been reported missing. The little girl is fine now. Police say what happened was a simple mix-up.

The Menomonie Police Department said tonight that the person who was to pick up the little girl at a designated bus stop was not there on time and later reported the girl as missing. Another woman found the girl sitting outside by herself, crying. This woman took the girl to her father. The child was found to be safe and in good health.
