In this final week before christmas, we are testing out some products that you may be considering as stocking stuffers for the chef, or even casual cook in your family.
The eye-watering task we are seeking to shortcut is cutting up onions.
To test Vidalia Chop Wizard, we've brought it to Corner 3, the Cedar Cafe on UW-Stout's campus."
Emily Kjelstad, a service management major and Leah Karaliunas, a dietetics major offered conduct our tests.
"It's consistant chops, so if you were doing it for soups, it would be better than cutting by hand. Saves time," found Kjelstad. " I would get one at my house, maybe, instead of chopping. Cutting onions is not my favorite thing in the world to do."
Leah isn't a fan of cutting onions, either. She found that you still need to prep the onions and use a little arm strength to snap it closed, but thinks the product works.
"I think for use in the home, for holiday meals or anything like that, it would be helpful."
Both women liked that the device would hold and measure the quantity of onions used.
