Tuition is set to go up at all UW campuses starting this fall.
That means a $287 dollar tuition hike at UW-Eau Claire and a jump of $222 a year at UW-Stout.
A spokesman for the UW System says the Board of Regents is expected to finalize the 5.5% increase next week.
UW-Madison would remain the most expensive school and tuition there would go up about $620. It would increase about $360 at UW-Milwaukee.
At the remaining 11 universities, including Eau Claire and Stout, tuition is expected to go up between $220 and $290-dollars.
The System says it’s dealing with more than $250 million in cuts from the state budget.
