If you're hitting the highways this weekend, the State Patrol hopes you'll take it easy.
Troopers say this weekend is the deadliest on our nation’s roads.
Lt. Jeff Lorentz says that's one of the reasons the mandatory seat-belt law started this week.
Officers can now pull you over if they see you or a passenger isn't buckled up.
But, the lieutenant says the best thing you can do during your holiday travels is enjoy the ride and take your time.
He says speed is a factor in most crashes.
