Rudolph Man and Dogs Killed in House Fire

The Rudolph Fire Department released the name of the man killed Saturday morning in a house fire in Rudolph, west of Stevens Point.

Firefighters say 42-year-old Trent Rasmussen died. Rasmussen’s pet dogs also died in the flames.

Fire chief Tony Konkol says the fire was likely sparked by a wood stove or chimney.
>
All five stations of the Rudolph Fire Department responded to the scene just before eight o'clock Saturday morning. Chief Konkol says the flames caused extensive damage to the house.
>
The department is still investigating the incident.
