Veterans who work or are students at UW-Eau Claire now have a new meeting place on campus.
The Veterans Center opened on Thursday in Schofield Hall.
Associate Dean of Students Marc Goulet says the center will be a place where veterans can go to share stories, meet with support groups and use a tele-health network for medical assistance.
Goulet says there are more than 300 student veterans on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
He says "It's a very genuine way to say thanks and also offer support and steer them to the right resources that we have on campus."
