People who live in Rusk County will have the chance to vote on whether to downsize the county board by more than one-third.

The group called Citizens for Responsible County Government filed a petition in January.

It wants the number of County Board Supervisors to be cut from 21 members down to 13.

Rusk County Clerk Denise Nelson says the group got nearly 1,000 certified signatures, a large enough percentage of the number of people who voted in the last race to put it on the April 3 ballot.
