A West Bend father accused of driving drunk and causing a highway crash that killed his son and injured four others is criminally charged today.

A $5,000 cash bond has been ordered in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court for 55-year-old John Ibeme.

He's charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, two counts of injury by driving drunk and two counts of operating while intoxicated causing injury.

Ibeme's son, John Junior, 9, died and his other two children, ages six and seven, were hurt in the 2-vehicle crash last week in Waucousta. Two people in the other vehicle were also hurt.

Sheriff's authorities say Ibeme lost control of his vehicle while southbound on Highway 45 and struck a northbound vehicle.
