People living in Minnesota may be able to watch trials on TV, thanks to a Wisconsin policy.

A coalition of media groups is using the Badger State as an example of how trials can be televised without creating a media circus.

The groups plan to ask the Minnesota Supreme Court Monday to change the rules that ban cameras in the courtroom.

Opponents say cameras can intimidate witnesses and influence sentences.

But supporters say it's part of the public's right to know.

The media groups point to the murder trial of Chai Vang as an example.
