Better Times for Dairy Farmers

Wisconsin dairy farmers could be in better financial shape by this fall. The National Milk Producers Federation said its program to reduce milk supplies has resulted in higher prices for milk.

The federation is forecasting that the Upper Midwest will see about $200 million in additional income by September.

Western Wisconsin's 3rd Congressional District in which Eau Claire and La Crosse are located is the nation's largest producer of milk.
