A new bill in the legislature would give a $1,000 tax break to Wisconsin drivers who buy a flex fuel vehicle made at the Janesville General Motors plant.

Flex fuel cars run on both gasoline and corn-based ethanol.

The bill is sponsored by two lawmakers with vested interests in the industry: Eugene Hahn of Cambria, a stakeholder in United Wisconsin Grain and Mike Sheridan a Janesville General Motors employee.
