Bloomer Co-op to Close
After considering several options, like consolidation, the board decided in February that closing the co-op this summer would be the best option.
Jim Jorgensen, the general manager, says the decrease in small farms and dairy cows in the area has greatly hurt the co-op financially over the last few years causing it to shut down.
Jim says farmers who need continued service will be able to get it through several other area businesses.
