The U.S. Defense Department says Wisconsin is among 12 states sharing more than 88-million dollars of federal money to establish its own team to fight against potential terrorism attacks.
The "Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team" will have 22 members trained to protect population centers in cast of attack involving nuclear, biological or radiological materials. Presently there
are 32 similar teams scattered around the country.

Wisconsin governor Jim Doyle will decide in which community the team will be headquartered, although Congressman James Sennsenbrenner of suburban Milwaukee is asking that the team be located in West Bend.
