It was a close race in Assembly District 68. Our political analyst John Frank says Republican Kathy Bernier has defeated Incumbent Democrat Kristen Dexter by 87 out of 21,429 votes.

Incumbent Democrat Kristen Dexter is running for re-election. Dexter is running for her second two-year term. She beat out Terry Moulton for this seat in 2008. Dexter is a former Altoona School Board member.

Dexter’s challenger is Republican Kathy Bernier. Bernier, of Lake Hallie, is currently the Chippewa County Clerk. She is also a member of the Lake Hallie Village Board.

The 68th Assembly District covers Northern Eau Claire and Southern Chippewa Counties, including parts of the Cities of Eau Claire and Altoona.

I could see this coming from the day Dexter got elected. All Dexter did from the start was hold the Union's hand with one hand and take money from the taxpayers with the other hand!

Well said Scott. You seem to be on a roll tonight, based on your comments on other stories. I hope Kathy does not let us down here.

Now comes the standard Liberal elitist lawsuit, recount demands, endless court expenses, media battles, etc. I can not wait. Good luck to you Kathy.
