High number of vehicle-deer crashes in November

Wisconsin drivers are being told to keep their eyes open this month.

November is usually when about 25 percent of all vehicle-deer crashes are reported. The State Department of Transportation says one reason November is so dangerous is the deer mating season, when animals aren't paying much attention to traffic.

Also, the end of daylight saving time means rush-hour happens as darkness falls. Just this past week, some counties saw a dramatic increase in the number of car-deer crashes.
